These are our terms and conditions of sale (‘T&Cs’) and you should read them carefully before you buy anything from us, either via our website or our Etsy / Ebay / Facebook store, as they apply to your order. By purchasing goods from us, you are confirming that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these T&Cs.

The individual or business purchasing or agreeing to purchase goods or services from HomeUpstyle.

Seller

HomeUpstyle, operated by Delila Pipoly, based in Manchester UK.

Goods

The products or bespoke services listed in the Buyer’s order, which may include vintage items, handmade pieces, or customised work.

Contract

A legally binding agreement between the Buyer and HomeUpstyle, including these Terms & Conditions.

Purchasing & Shipping

Product Descriptions

Product descriptions and photographs aim to be as accurate as possible. Many pieces are handmade, vintage, or one-of-a-kind, so variations in size, colour, or finish are to be expected.

Stock Issues

In the event of stock issues, you will be informed and given the option to wait or receive a full refund.

Order Confirmation

By placing an order with HomeUpstyle, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

When you place your order at the end of the online checkout process, we will acknowledge it by email. At this point a legally binding contract will be in place between you and us. Please ensure the details on your order confirmation email are correct and contact our Customer Services Team as soon as possible if there are any errors.

If you do not receive the order confirmation email, please contact our Customer Services Team, so that we may investigate and confirm that your order has been placed successfully.

Custom & Bespoke Orders

Orders for customised, upcycled, or made-to-order items cannot be cancelled once production has begun.

Delivery Times

UK delivery is typically made within standard services , but also depending on availability and order volume. Bespoke items may take longer, and estimated timelines will be shared during consultation.

Delivery Delays

HomeUpstyle is not responsible for delays outside of our control (e.g., courier disruptions or the weather).

Delivery Liability

While we will make every effort to meet agreed delivery times, HomeUpstyle cannot be held responsible for any losses, costs, damages, or expenses incurred by you or any third party due to a missed or delayed delivery date.

Delivery Address & Access

Deliveries will be made to the address you provide in your order. It is your responsibility to ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that access is possible.

 International Delivery (outside UK)

If you are based outside the UK, the following terms and conditions apply:

international deliveries are subject to availability of service, accessibility to property, local customs costs and regulations, transport mode and shipment size. Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver Homeupstyle orders to Russia and to the Sanction Targets identified by the UK government from time to time;

all goods are sold on delivery duty unpaid basis, which means that if you are based outside the UK, you may have to pay customs, handling, import and/or export duties prior to or on delivery and additional taxes, fees or levies may apply according to local legislation.
Please note that import duties, taxes, and any associated delays are the responsibility of the buyer. We are not liable for sorting out customs charges or any delays caused by them.

Unpaid or outstanding customs or duty fees
Once an order has been dispatched, customers must carefully track their parcel and respond promptly to any courier or customs requests.

Refused or Unpaid Customs Charges :
If an item is refused at customs due to unpaid import duties, taxes, or required documentation:
No refund will be provided
This is classed as a “Change of Mind / Refusal of Delivery”

This is because:
Original shipping costs are non-refundable
Return shipping fees are charged by the courier
Outstanding duty or customs fees may still apply
In some cases, additional charges are applied by the courier
Due to these combined costs, orders refused at customs cannot be refunded.
Unpaid customs or duty fees may also be:
Collected after delivery (if requested by the courier)
Reported

⏳ Return Timeframe
International returns may take 3–4 weeks

if you pay with an international credit or debit card, you may be subject to an additional administration/handling fee and/or any other charges that may be applied by your card issuer. Your card issuer will also determine the currency conversion rate applicable at the time of the transaction;

Please note, we will not be able to process VAT refunds for international customers.


Customs Duties and Returned Parcels Policy

If an item is returned to the sender (us) because customs duties were not paid by the customer, the customer will be liable for the return shipping charges.

In such cases, the customer may also need to pay both the outstanding customs fees and the return carriage charges for the parcel to be sent back to us.

Please note that refunds cannot be issued for orders returned due to unpaid customs fees, as additional charges are applied by the courier services.

This is not our individual policy but a standard practice followed by courier companies.

We strongly recommend that customers track their orders carefully once dispatched.

Vintage Character & Condition

Condition Disclosure

Please note: Our items are vintage/second-hand, so signs of age, wear, and imperfections are part of their charm. If you're looking for perfect, factory-new pieces, these may not be for you — please purchase only if you appreciate their unique, aged character.

Visual Documentation

All conditions are clearly outlined via images, written descriptions, and (where applicable) video listings on our website.

Non-Fault Returns

Our return policy under the 'Faulty Items' clause will not apply to returns made purely on the basis of dissatisfaction with the vintage condition, where condition has already been disclosed.

Returns & Damages

Inspection Upon Delivery

You must inspect your items upon delivery and notify us within 2 working days if damaged or incorrect.

Damaged or Faulty Items

For items that arrive damaged, we will provide a replacement or a full refund, including delivery and return postage, once returned and inspected.

📦 Shipping & Damage Policy
We package all orders with great care
Once handed to the courier, we are not responsible for:
Delays
Mishandling
Transit damage
Damage Claims (Must be reported within 24 hours)
Please send a message:
Photos of the parcel before opening
Photos of the item inside packaging
Close-up photos of the damage
Packaging photos are mandatory for courier claims.
Depending on the severity of the damage, we may offer a partial refund or, in some cases, a full refund. All refunds are subject to the required photographs being provided and a damage claim being opened with the courier. Once the claim has been submitted, we will review the case together and confirm the appropriate resolution. If no photos are provided, we will unfortunately be unable to proceed with or follow up on a damage claim.

Unwanted Items

Returns for unwanted goods (excluding bespoke/made-to-order) must be made within 7 days of delivery. Items must be returned at your expense in their original condition and packaging. You will receive a full refund- exclude delivery charges.


You have the right to cancel this contract in relation to any products other than Tailored by HOMEUPSTYLE within 7 days . The cancellation period will expire after 7 days from the day on which you acquire physical possession of the goods. To meet the cancellation deadline, you need to make sure that you contact our Customer Services Team before the cancellation period has expired.

Return Liability

Return postage must be purchased by the customer. HomeUpstyle is not liable for return postage ( unless item is faulty / incorrect ) or any items lost or damaged in return transit. Please ensure items are insured.

Prices & Payment

Inclusive Pricing

Prices listed on the HomeUpstyle website or provided in quotes include VAT where applicable but exclude delivery.

Payment Terms

Payment is required in full upfront via debit/credit card or bank transfer. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Visa Debit, Klarna & Paypal.

Delivery Charges

Delivery costs are calculated separately and shared prior to order confirmation.

Seller's Rights

Policy Updates

HomeUpstyle reserves the right to update prices at any time without prior notice.

Product Changes

We reserve the right to discontinue any products or services.

Order Cancellation

HomeUpstyle may cancel any order at its discretion, in which case a full refund will be issued.

We may contact you to say that we do not accept your order. This is typically for the following reasons:

the items are unavailable;

we cannot authorise your payment;

there has been a mistake on the pricing or description of the goods; and/or

the details of the address that you provided are not recognised or are incorrect.

End of the contract

If this contract is ended it will not affect our right to receive any money which you owe to us under this contract.

Custom/Bespoke Work

Non-Refundable Custom Orders

Custom, upcycled, or restyled items are made specifically for you and are non-refundable unless faulty.

Design Amendments

Any design changes must be agreed upon before production begins. Requests after this point may incur additional costs.

Liability Disclaimer

Liability Limitations

HomeUpstyle shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from use of our website or services unless due to negligence.

User Responsibility

It is your responsibility to ensure any item or service suits your specific needs and is used appropriately.

Your privacy and personal information are important to us. Any personal information that you provide to us will be dealt with in line with our Privacy Policy, which explains what personal information we collect from you, how and why we collect, store, use and share such information, your rights in relation to your personal information and how to contact us and supervisory authorities if you have a query or complaint about the use of your personal information.
