Antique 19th Century Oil Paintings – Rococo Gesso Frames, Convex Wood Panels

Your story, your style.

A remarkable and highly decorative set of four antique oil paintings on convex wooden panels, each housed in an impressive original Rococo-style gesso frame.
These unusual paintings depict charming 19th-century genre scenes, featuring figures in traditional interiors and everyday settings. Each panel is individually signed, with signatures that appear to be by different artists. The combination of the convex wooden panels, richly varnished surfaces and substantial antique frames gives these pieces a wonderful sense of depth and presence.
The four paintings are matching in size, making the complete set particularly attractive for a large period interior, collector's display, or statement gallery wall.

🔎 AGE & CONSTRUCTION
One of the paintings was carefully removed from its backing to inspect the reverse, construction and signature, as shown in the photographs. This provides a closer look at the original wooden panel and construction.
The pieces have the appearance and construction of genuine antique decorative paintings, rather than modern reproduction wall décor.

🖼️ WHY THE SET IS SPECIAL
The fact that all four paintings are the same dimensions and presented in matching ornate frames makes the complete group especially desirable.
They would look exceptional:
Above a console or sideboard
In a traditional or period-style interior
As a four-piece gallery wall
In an antique or country house setting
As part of a European art collection
In a boutique, hotel or interior-design project
The complete set has a strong decorative impact and is considerably harder to find than individual pieces.
