🛠️ Condition & Restoration:
This is a very old antique piece that has been thoughtfully refreshed:
Fully revarnished inside and out
Original handles retained and in good shape
Original hardware preserved to maintain authenticity
Some bobbin details are original, while others have been newly added
Statement ball bobbin legs added for a unique elevated look
One missing wooden detail has been replaced with moulding
🔑 The cabinet has a keyhole but no key, so it is currently not lockable (can be easily replaced if desired)
🚪 The door closes, however it can be slightly temperamental and may leave a small ~0.5 cm lip when shut (shown in photos). This could be easily improved with a small latch or lock if required.
✨ Signs of age such as light surface marks, tiny nail marks, and subtle variations in varnish have been intentionally preserved to celebrate its history and beautiful patina.
Overall, it is in great condition for its age and full of charm.
