A beautiful one-of-a-kind vintage statement piece, combining an original gilt oval frame with a newly created fabric-covered cork board.
This elegant oval notice board began life as a vintage Globe brand picture frame, dating to approximately 1958. Rather than being discarded, the original frame has been carefully repurposed and given a new lease of life as a practical yet decorative wall piece.
The substantial wooden frame features an ornate gilt finish, beautifully aged patina and a decorative carved bow crest. The combination of its warm antique gold tones, elegant oval shape and intricate detailing gives it a wonderfully French-inspired character.
The original mirror or artwork is no longer present. In its place, a new cork board has been fitted and covered with beautiful beige fabric, creating a softly cushioned and decorative surface for displaying notes, photographs, postcards and keepsakes.
Perfect for a French country, vintage, cottagecore, shabby chic, Rococo or eclectic interior, this is both a useful notice board and a striking decorative feature.

This is a genuine vintage frame with plenty of age-related character and charm.
The frame retains its original aged patina and may show small chips, marks, scratches, rubbing and areas of wear consistent with its age and previous life. These imperfections contribute to its authentic vintage appearance and are part of what makes the piece unique.
The top decorative bow has been sympathetically repaired by a previous owner and remains stable.
